Language Learning

Available since the very beginning of Our Company, in 2010 Language Learning has taken on a new visibility and new dynamics: the courses have been reoriented and totally reformulated.

More than a Language School or Training Company, the Training Department of Gabinete A.B.C. is a nucleus of interactive language learning for professional purposes. The nucleus is sub-divided into three areas:
 

a) The C.P.L.E. (Professional Communication in Foreign Languages) area especially aimed at those who want to learn a foreign language quickly and effectively, with the purpose of using it in their day-today- business lives;
 

C.P.L.E. Courses available in Portuguese, Spanish, German, French and English:

1. Telephone Conversation (C.T.)

2. Business Correspondence (C.E.)

3. Hotel Reception (R.H.)

4. Restaurants/Waiting Tables (S.M.)

5. Logistics and Transport (L.T.)

b) The Training Actions area which we organise monthly in subjects as varied as:
 

• Perfecting Portuguese
• Events Assistants (Hostesses)
• Vocal Techniques for Conference Interpreters
• Legal Translation: the Translation of Divorce Rulings (PT<>FR)
• Ms Access
• Publishing of Scientific Works
• Word Processing by Translators using OCR

c) The Language in Schools Support area which is designed exclusively for students preparing for tests, exams, specific examinations, etc..

• No enrolment costs.
• The “Private Lessons” module can be booked as Lessons in the Home. Only transport costs are added to the fee.
• Total flexibility of timetables: lessons can be booked and adjusted on a weekly basis, depending on the availability of Students and Teachers.
•  The Courses are drawn up in conjunction with the Student, taking into account their specific needs.
•  Our Teachers are also Translators, Interpreters and/or Educators with experience in Business Communication. Their vision of language is dynamic, evolving and applied.

Still within the training area, we are proud of being a dynamic company which is open to the outside world and which participates in various internship protocols . We have welcomed interns from various national institutions of higher education (Faculty of Letters of Oporto University, Language Department of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa - Viseu Campus, Polytechnic of Leiria, among others) and from abroad. We have a collaboration protocol with the Global Adamastor/ Leonardo Da Vinci programme under whose auspices we receive interns from various international universities.
